We do not have to look far to see cases of oppression & injustice .
All we have to do is look at ourselves. Daily we cause the greatest oppression to ourselves when we sin.
In Arabic, Zulm literally means " to place something where it doesn’t belong.” which is an act of injustice in it self. Aиϑ that's what happens when we commit a sin, we oppress ourselves. More rightly, we oppress our own heart & place the burden of being answerable to اللّه
Subhana Ta'ala on our souls, we place the black stain of our sin on our pure heart & make it heavy with all the negativity that is attached to the sin.
This oppression leaves a black dot on the heart & if we continue to sin it continues to grow & grow until it engulfs the heart; eventually killing it so we can no longer feel the pain of that sin.
Have u noticed that the first time u commit a sin ie steal, lie, cheat etc ur heart races? It's telling us we're doing something wrong.. but if we do not heed the call & continue to sin.. one day the heart will be covered with a veil so that we cannot feel any pain or remorse over lying etc... It has been killed/numbed to the pain/oppression of that sin.
اللّه
Subhana Ta'ala , Ar Rahmaan, Ar Raheem - the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful has however provided us with hope ... Doing His zikr or remembrance will clean these veils & give life to the heart thereby restoring peace & happiness back in the heart & back into our life.
Without actually doing zikr though, this is just a wish...
So let's start now... close our eyes & on the left upper side of our body imagine our heart is saying Allah... Allah... Allah.
. & do this until at least we feel remorse for our sins... & can feel the peace & serenity of the noor/light of اللّه
Subhana Ta'ala showering on our heart...
Rabbana zalamna anfusana waillam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoo nanna minal khasireen.
